Bow Valley Yeti ID Skates
For Players Interested in Becoming a Yeti
ID skates are intended for competitive hockey players who are interested in joining a structured team program at the U15 or U17 age group.
Coaches are looking for players who bring skill, effort, coachability, competitiveness, and the right approach to the team environment. ID skates are also an opportunity for families to learn more about the program, the Academy connection, and the P3 pathway.
What to Expect at an ID Skate
- On-ice evaluation by Yeti coaching staff
- Skill, compete, and game-situation drills
- Opportunity to ask questions about the program
- Overview of the Academy and P3 pathway
- Follow-up communication from the program team

Show Up Ready
Athletes should arrive prepared to compete. Be on time, fully equipped, and ready to give a true effort from the first whistle. ID skates are a snapshot — coaches are looking at habits, work rate, attitude, and how players carry themselves on and off the ice.
Parents are welcome to attend. Bring questions about the team, the Academy, the season, and the pathway.
